Marketing Manager

Overview: Under the direction of the Marketing Director, Professional Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the hair care go-to-market for new launches & reactivations, and also to manage strategy and execution for the professional salon and distributor channel. The role leads the company-wide 360-degree annual planning and marketing calendar and has 2 direct reports, Associate Marketing Manager & Manager, Visual Merchandising. Tasks & Responsibilities: 2-fold responsibility that spans commercialization of the company’s priority haircare + styling business Go to market lead for all new product launches in haircare + styling, plus all product reanimations. Manage professional channel KPIs including distributor store visual merchandising, salon marketing materials and distributor.coms. Lead development & management of 360-degree annual marketing calendar to support new launches and ongoing core business. Drive implementation of tactical plans that support efficient and on-time product, promotion, and program launches in close partnership with broader cross-functional teams (sales, social media, education, digital, etc). Manage relationship with the Professional Sales team to co-develop initiatives with salons & distributors to maximize sales and increase exposure. Lead creation of product & model campaign briefs to create assets to support all team requirements Support development and implementation of Moroccanoil brand marketing campaigns, photoshoots, and other content needs. Manage Associate Manager for go-to-market and a Visual Merchandising Manager to support the professional channel. Professional Competencies: 5+ years’ experience in Marketing in the beauty industry (haircare, skincare, fragrance, cosmetics) or a related field Professional channel experience a plus Should demonstrate a passion for the beauty/cosmetics industry Capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within an entrepreneurial and team-oriented environment Inspiring and engaging interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people in various disciplines and across functions, as well as ability present to leadership Exceptional project management, multi-tasking, and analytical skills Core Competencies: Project management: Operational with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
